What you are playing
Every board is a genuine Connections puzzle that has already run, shuffled so the order gives nothing away. Today's grid is held back, so nothing here can spoil the live puzzle.
Getting better at it
Connections rewards noticing the trap rather than knowing the words. Most grids contain at least one word that fits two groups comfortably, and the puzzle is built around it. Start where you are sure of all four, and let the ambiguous word land in whatever is left. Volume is what makes that instinct automatic.
